Your own blood and stem cells are the ultimate healing mechanism we have at our disposal, and this field is rapidly expanding. The “Nature’s Lift” uses your blood to heal your skin.

Our bodies secrete a variety of hormones and specific proteins called growth factors. Each growth factor performs in a certain way to keep our cells in a steady and stable state. hands (2)

This healing property of our own bodies has been in use in other fields of medicine for decades, using one’s own blood to heal torn tendons and meniscus.

In this process, one’s own blood is drawn into special tubes, spun in a centrifuge, and processed to separate different blood components. One component that is used most frequently is called PRP, or “Platelet-Rich Plasma”. When injected into damaged tissues, it forms a matrix with platelets which in turn secrete high concentrations of growth factors that help with tissue repair and regeneration.

The uses of PRP in aesthetic medicine and cosmetic surgery gained popularity in recent years. There have been multiple studies that showed using PRP helps with skin rejuvenation, removal of wrinkles, and plumping of tissues. The potential for this new treatment is tremendous, both for wrinkle reduction and volume restoration. It has been used for rejuvenation and volume restoration of the face, hands, and neck. One special area that responds very well is the hollowed out area under the eyes,  the so called “tear troughs”. Injection of PRP in this area gives great results that are long lasting and smooth, unlike some of the dermal fillers that give a lumpy appearance or make this area look like a bag of water.

Please consult your health care expert about this new and exciting treatment, using only your own blood to heal your skin.
